Job Description:
We are seeking a part-time associate to join our team and support various behind-the-scenes tasks essential to the smooth operation of our business. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about small businesses, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a willingness to adapt to evolving business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill customer orders with accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage inventory levels and update product listings as needed
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Prepare needlepoint canvases for sale, including using a sewing machine to bind canvases
  • Respond to customer inquiries and emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must reside in the Houston area and be available for in-person work
  • Enthusiasm for small businesses and the needlepoint industry
  • Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency with Shopify for inventory management and website hosting preferred
  • Familiarity with TikTok Shop, skuIQ, and Google products (Ads, Product Listings, Analytics) is a plus
  • Ability to lift light objects and organize inventory as needed

Schedule and Hours:

  • Approximately 10 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as needed
  • Schedule is flexible and will be agreed upon one month at a time
  • Open communication about availability and scheduling is essential

Pay

  • Base pay is $15/hour paid biweekly

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and creative Social Media Manager to oversee our online presence and drive engagement across various social media platforms. The ideal candidate will be passionate about needlepoint, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand awareness and drive traffic to our online store (including TikTok shop)
  • Create engaging content, including images, videos, and captions, that showcases our products and inspires our audience
  • Manage all social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and ensure consistent brand messaging and tone of voice
  • Monitor social media trends and industry news to identify opportunities for content creation and audience engagement
  • Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a sense of community around our brand
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing objectives and campaigns
  • Track and analyze key metrics and performance indicators to measure the success of social media efforts and make data-driven decisions
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging social media platforms and trends, and explore new ways to reach and engage our target audience

Deliverables and Activities:

  • Regularly scheduled posts across all social media platforms
  • Engaging visual content (photos, videos, graphics) that highlights products and promotes brand identity
  • Interactive elements such as polls, quizzes, and Q&A sessions to encourage audience participation
  • Influencer partnerships and collaborations to expand reach and attract new followers
  • Social media advertising campaigns to drive website traffic and sales
  • Monthly analytics reports detailing key performance metrics and insights

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or business - experience working for a small business is a plus
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative flair for crafting engaging content
  • Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software (e.g. Canva, iMovie, etc)
  • Ability to analyze data and extract actionable insights to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Passion for needlepoint and a genuine interest in engaging with our community of customers and followers
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) and social media management tools is a plus

Pay

  • Base pay is $15/hour paid biweekly
  • Expectation is 10 hours/week of work
